Make Things Better in Your Life – How to Have a Greater Experience of Reality
by Richard Paul Norton
You can make things better in your life; when you first come to realize this it may feel as if you have to search and find this technique or that method. But the truth is that there is a plethora of tools available for you to make your life better and improve your experience of reality. In this article I will discuss a few basic ways you can begin.
A little side-note about me personally with regards to making things better in your life: I know absolutely that you can not only turn your life around, but you can go right from one pole of hell to the opposite pole. The last five years of my life have been completely outstanding in terms of where I’ve come from, where I am now, and where I’m going.
1. Finding goals which you really deeply care about.
The first step is to find something which you really want in your life. I have a very significant memory about myself when I first began making my life better, it was a moment which became catalytic in my life causing an avalanche of positive change to follow it. The great things which are happening in my life right now can be directly traced back to that day.
You absolutely must find something which you really want in your life, something you want more than anything. Fixate that goal in your mind and allow whatever emotions and feelings you get from that to well up. Grab a mirror and look yourself in the eyes; ask yourself, “how much do I want to bring this into my life?” The feelings welling up inside should be of absolute determination.
2. Realising that you must change yourself, not just your life.
Be under no illusion that you can remain the same person you are now and make your life whatever way you want it to be. If you want to change your life – you absolutely must change your self. This stems from the fact that you are currently a perfectly shaped peg for the life you are in.
This may be difficult to accept, but even if deep-down it all feels wrong, the vibrations you give off on a daily basis enforce the life you are living right now. If they didn’t, your life would have already changed. Part of this is taking responsibility for your life. Not just the obvious parts, but every single part.
What this means effectively is there will be parts of your personality right now, that is behaviours which your friends will associate with you, that you will definitely have to change. There will be certain habits which are right now road-blocks directly in-between you and your goal and if you ever want to realise your goals then you absolutely must crumble these blocks.
3. Making the biggest commitment you’ve ever made.
Make the commitment to yourself to change. If it’s night-time, decide on things you’re going to begin doing tomorrow in order to start changing your life for the better; if it’s the day-time then decide what you are going to start doing this very day to make your life better.
Realise that there is no more time. You must hold on to this commitment to yourself. The journey is tough – very tough. But the rewards are incredibly high. You will need to develop acceptance, courage, and foresight to levels which you have never before had in your life – and roughly in that priority.
This is the one life you know for certain you will get and right now is the only moment you can say with 100% certainty that you will have. The time to commit to making your life better is right now. Find what you really want, realise you must change yourself to change your life, and then commit!
